I turn the material from the Courses into lectures shaped for a specific audience. If you know who will be listening and what they need to learn, such as training for new developers, a talk at a school or club, or an internal study group, feel free to get in touch.
Topics
The five open courses are the core topics. Their tables of contents give you a good idea of what a lecture covers.
- Data Structures from the Ground Up: how to store and find data, from arrays to trees, graphs and hashing
- Algorithms Through Problem Solving: choosing a solution with brute force, divide and conquer, greedy methods and dynamic programming
- How Computer Graphics Builds an Image: from points and vectors through cameras, lighting and shading to pixels
- AI Foundations Through Data: features, distances, clustering, classification and evaluation with small datasets
- Design Patterns for Changing Code: dividing responsibilities with Strategy, Observer, factories, MVC and more
Beyond the courses, I cover taking a product from planning to launch, and how to bring AI into product features and development workflows. The services I build and run are listed under Services.
How it works
First, tell me who is listening and what the goal is. Where the audience is now, and what they should be able to do after the lecture, is enough to start.
Next, we agree on length and format: a single talk or several sessions, and whether people need hands-on exercises that follow the examples.
Finally, we settle the outline and examples before the lecture. The courses are open lessons anyone can read for free; a lecture reorders that material and its examples for the people in one room.
Contact
Send the audience, the topics you want and a rough schedule to hello@mrlatte.net. A rough first message is fine.
